Continuing Studies
The Minneapolis College of Art and Design has an immediate opening for a full-time, benefits-eligible Enrollment Coordinator in our Continuing Studies Department.
Primary Function:
Provide and coordinate a base of customer service operations in the Continuing Studies Department including administrative support; student recruitment and enrollment; promotion and marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Administrative Support
- Provide and coordinate the flow of customer service in the Continuing Studies Department.
- In consultation with the Director, oversee supervision and work-direction of part-time customer service workers.
- Provide general academic counseling for public inquiries regarding Continuing Studies programs.
- Respond to MCAD faculty and staff inquiries regarding programs and students.
- Assist in the coordination of Continuing Studies programs with Academic Services and other College departments, and with special programs such as Life-Drawing Co-Op, Mid-Program Assessments for Post-Baccalaureate students, and Women’s Art Institute.
- Provide administrative and business support for Continuing Studies, including: coordinate travel arrangements for faculty, visiting artists and lecturers; coordinate inter-departmental account transfers for facilities and lab fees; process payables and reimbursements.
- Coordinate purchasing of office supplies and classroom materials.
Student Recruitment and Enrollment
- Manage the SalesForce intake and database system, including: coordinate system design and data sharing with MCAD Admissions Department; manage student leads and recruitment through the system.
- Manage and administer online Shopping Cart database and CS course registration system, including: update course listings each semester; work closely with Technology Department for overall system support; process web orders and e-mail inquiries.
- Schedule informational interviews, tours and academic counseling for prospective Certificate students.
- Register students for Continuing Studies classes, workshops and events.
Assist the Records Office with student registrations and Jenzabar student database management. - Assist students and the Business Office with tuition and fee payments and student accounts.
- Coordinate class changes, withdrawals, refunds and course completion documents.
Promotion and Marketing
- Assist with text updates and edits of information on Intranet and external MCAD website.
- Assist with production, proof-reading and editing of CS printed materials.
- Assist in distribution of catalogs, postcards and other promotional materials, including: develop and maintain SalesForce planning and marketing functions, internal mailing lists, etc.; Acquire external mailing lists and coordinate mailings; ensure data entry of catalog requests into database system.
- Assist in general promotion of programs with the Director of Continuing Studies.

Qualifications:
Education: College graduate with a degree in art history, design, or studio art preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of three years enrollment and administrative experience, or related experience, is required. Experience working with the public is required. Experience in a college or other educational setting preferred.
Skills: Strong knowledge of the Macintosh operating system, with MS Word and Excel is required. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. Strong knowledge and experience with SalesForce, Jenzabar, web-based Shopping Cart, or other similar relational database systems is required. Must have strong customer service skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
