The Minneapolis College of Art and Design offers a 30-credit Certificate in Graphic Design for students who hold an undergraduate degree and want to develop professional skills and a graphic design portfolio during evening and weekend classes. The Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of a 10-course sequence completed over two years. Students develop print and digital versions of identity systems, small and large print pieces, multi-page publications, and web and motion graphics work. Course content includes ideation, design history, managing workflow and professional relationships, design theory and research methods.

Professional designers are invited to apply for adjunct teaching assignments (typically one course per semester) in this exciting program. The Graphic Design Certificate Program is offered through the Continuing Studies Program with full access to state-of-the-art computer labs, print facility, and seminar classrooms at the College.
